Data processing terms
Who we are
Rivier is a product of PRAECISE LTD (registered in England and Wales, company number 15567058), 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. In this document "we" and "us" mean PRAECISE LTD, which is the business responsible for Rivier and the party you deal with.
Who these terms are between
These terms apply when PRAECISE LTD (the processor, "we") processes personal data for you (the controller) in providing Rivier. They are part of our agreement with you and take effect when you start to use the service. They were last updated on 2026-11-02.
What we process and why
Subject matter: providing Rivier to you. Duration: for as long as you use the service, and for the period described in https://rivier.ai/cancellation afterwards.
Nature and purpose: storing, organising, analysing, publishing and sending the information you connect or enter, and running the AI assistants you set up, as you instruct through the service.
People concerned and data: whoever you put into the service: your customers, leads, staff and visitors; and the contact details, messages, orders, bookings, files and records you or your connected accounts supply. You decide what to put in.
Your instructions
We process the personal data only on your documented instructions: your use of the service and its settings, and what you write to us. If we think an instruction breaks the law we will tell you. If the law requires us to process it otherwise we will tell you first unless the law forbids it.
Confidentiality
People who process the data for us are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
Security
We take the security measures described at https://rivier.ai/security and keep them appropriate to the risk.
Other providers we use
You give us a general authorisation to use other providers to process the data (a sub-processor), on terms that give the data at least the protection these terms give it. We stay responsible for them.
The current list, by kind of provider, is at https://rivier.ai/providers. We will tell you at least 30 days before we add or replace one, and you may object on reasonable grounds within that time; if we cannot resolve it you may end the service.
Requests from people
We help you answer requests from people about their data (access, correction, deletion and the rest), through the tools in the service, and we tell you promptly if a person asks us directly.
Breaches
We tell you without undue delay after we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, with what we know to help you meet your own duty to report.
Impact assessments
We give you reasonable help with impact assessments and prior consultation, given the nature of the processing and the information we hold.
When the service ends
When the service ends, your data stays readable and can be exported for 30 days (see https://rivier.ai/cancellation). After an export has been made and checked, we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep a copy.
Showing that we comply
We give you the information needed to show that we meet these terms, and we allow and contribute to audits you or an auditor you appoint carry out, on reasonable notice and in a way that does not put other customers' information at risk.
Transfers
We run the service on servers we operate. Where a provider listed at /providers processes personal data outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, standard contractual clauses, or another safeguard the law recognises. Ask us in writing which safeguard applies to a provider.
Contact
Notices under these terms, breach notices to us and questions: email contact@praecise.com, or write to PRAECISE LTD, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE.
Law
These terms follow the data protection law that applies to the processing, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where it applies, the EU GDPR. In a conflict between these terms and our agreement about the processing of personal data, these terms prevail.
